Oakridge Park,
Milton Keynes

A neighbourhood centre anchored by ASDA

  • Project type: Mixed Use Neighbourhood Centre
  • Uses: Retail, Medical, Residential
  • Size: 42,500 sq ft

About this Project

A joint venture was established with Persimmon Homes to develop a commercial scheme at Oakridge Park, Stantonbury – a suburb of Milton Keynes. The existing planning permission required some optimisation to fit with the prevailing commercial requirements of key retailers, but also to reduce the allocation of office space, which was unviable in the location.

The resulting neighbourhood centre was anchored by ASDA, trading from a 15,000 square foot store.  In addition, a mixed-use commercial parade of around 10,000 square feet was designed and constructed, incorporating retail, beauty and medical uses, with a gym at first floor.

With the initial development well-established and surrounding housing numbers still increasing, planning consent was secured for a second phase of mixed use development to better serve the expanding community. This includes shops, cafes and houses, and is due to be completed by mid 2025.
